    You can still come along.

The apartment is full, but the trip is more than the beds. If you are in Nice over New Year, or you were thinking of coming anyway and sorting your own place, join us for the parts that matter: New Year's Eve, the galette des rois on the 6th, the day trips, and the days we work together. Get in touch and we will keep you in the loop.

    The dates

    Eleven days by the sea.

We picked the window around the direct flights from Bucharest. You work your normal hours, and the trip already contains New Year's Day and two weekends. Flying in from Romania it's better still: the 2nd, 6th and 7th are public holidays there too, so the whole thing costs almost no annual leave.

    Occupied by the coliving volunteer

Every room went on a first paid, first served basis. If someone drops out we will say so here first.

Want to come earlier or stay on after the 9th? Tell us when you book and we'll arrange it with the apartment.

    The plan

Work the mornings, Riviera the rest.

Around New Year the sun sets just after five, so we put the trips on the days nobody is working.

    New Year's Eve

In Nice, on foot. The street party at Place Masséna, the Promenade, and everyone walks home. No taxis, no logistics.

    Galette des rois

The 6th is Epiphany in France and Bobotează in Romania. We'll do it properly, with cider, a paper crown, and both the Paris and the Provençal versions of the cake.

    Day trips

Monaco, Antibes, Cannes and Èze are all short train rides from Nice-Ville. Expect around 12°C and a good chance of sun.

    One more coming

    Haki is on the trip.

Our cat travels with us. She is quiet, litter-trained, used to trains and planes, and she stays in our room unless she decides otherwise. The apartment has agreed to her coming.

We are saying it up front because it matters to some people: if you are allergic to cats, this is not the trip for you. Tell us if you would rather she kept out of the common areas and we will sort it out.

    Join us anyway?

The rooms have gone, but the trip has not. If you are in Nice over New Year, or you were thinking of coming anyway, tell us and we will fold you into the plans.
