Our Story
From a simple meetup to a thriving community of digital nomads, expats, and local adventurers in Bucharest.
2022
The Beginning
Kevin, a digital nomad who settled in Romania, started the Bucharest Digital Nomads meetup to find people to connect with.
2023-2024
Rapid Growth
The community grew exponentially with more than 2000 people registered and over 120 events organized.
2025
Kevin's Departure
Kevin decided to move on from Romania, but his legacy continued through former attendees who kept the community alive.

Digital Expansion
An Instagram account was created to share amazing events and continue using Meetup for event management and registration.
2026
Themed Events
We expanded the lineup with themed gatherings — board game nights, wine tastings, and more — giving the community new ways to connect beyond the classic meetups.
Kevin's Legacy Lives On
Although Kevin moved on from Romania, his vision continues through the dedicated former attendees who keep the community thriving. Today, we maintain the same spirit of connection, exploration, and support that he started in 2022.
